Amani Bizimana, better known as Amalon, started out as a rapper, but it wasn’t until his venture to Afro beat and R & B that he has became a household name.

Songs like Yambi, Byakubaho, and Delilah featuring Ally Soudy have taken many by storm and made the 25-year-old musician the talk of the town.

He recently appeared at the Kigali Jazz Junction, where he shared stage with the Neptunez Band, Kenya’s Nyashinski, and South African Afro Soul act Zahara. Amalon attended Kagarama Secondary school and later Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre, where he specialised in Electronics in 2013, but his heart was in music.

Amalon prefers releasing a few, good quality songs.

He is with 1K Entertainment label and has performed in several live events like this year’s Isano Music Festival and the Burna Boy Kigali Experience, where he shared a stage with Nigerian Afro-pop star Burna Boy among others.

He has proven his skills in live performances.

He plans to perform at the Iwacu Muzika Festival as well as finalising work on his debut 18-song music album.
