Arsenal FC coaching clinic thrives

The clinic to deepen the knowledge of the Arsenal coaching philosophy in Rwanda.

A five-day “coach-the-coaches” football clinic led by Arsenal Football Club coaches Simon McManus and Kerry Green was concluded on February 22.

The session involved 50 local coaches, from across the country and falls within the framework of the Visit Rwanda- Arsenal FC partnership.

Just like the previous coaching clinic held in October 2018, the clinic helps deepen the knowledge of the Arsenal coaching philosophy in Rwanda.

The coaching clinic was organised by the Rwandan Football Federation in partner- ship with the Ministry of Sports and Culture.

Speaking to the media during a press briefing, the acting director of Sports, Guy Rurangayire said, “ This an opportunity for Young Rwandan footballers to train and learn from the very best because Arsenal is renowned for its youth coaching.

The trainees have significantly benefited from Arsenal's experience in producing world class talent.” "It is great being back at the National Stadium in Kigali to meet these talented coaches. The enthusiasm and commitment has been outstanding.

We are looking forward to continuing our work over the coming years to help the development of Rwandan football, through our partnership with Visit Rwanda,” said Simon McManus, Arsenal Development Lead Coach.
