Kenya's Covid-19 cases rise to 25

Out of the nine new cases, seven are Kenyans while two are foreigners.

Kenya on Tuesday recorded 9 new coronavirus cases raising the total to 25, Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe said.

In a televised address, Mr Kagwe said the new cases had been recorded in the capital Nairobi and coastal counties Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale.

Out of the nine cases, seven are Kenyans while two are foreigners.

Mr Kagwe said patients have been put in isolation and are being monitored.

He added that the government was tracing those who have been in contact with the patients.
The health minister said the government will carry a mandatory testing for travellers and those who have been in contact with the patients.
