Com Factory to resume shows

The weekly stand up comedy showcases performances by Rwanda’s rising comedians.

The Com Factory — a weekly live stand up comedy show — is considering its return following is long break off since may 2018. The event organised by Comedy Knights had temporarily taken a break to restructure.

“We are finalising talks with Park Inn Hotel Kigali, where we hope to resume with our weekly shows come January 2019,” said John Muyenzi, who is one of the shows organisers.

The Com Factory, which for a year became popularity on the entertainment scene for its weekly shows that were aired on Rwanda Broadcasting Agency(RBA).

Initiated by John Muyenzi, also a member of the Comedy Knights, the weekly stand up comedy, which showcases performances by Rwanda’s rising comedians.

The group has realised partnered with rising stand up comedians through various performances, including the past Kigali International Comedy Festival.

“We have encountered and witnessed great comedians, who we hope to incorporate in our upcoming shows,” said Muyenzi.

Com Factory featured new local stand up comedians performing alongside guest artists like Uganda’s Collins Emeka and Cotilda Dsaniel Omara, Dr Ofweneke from Kenya, Captain Khalid — a Germany-based Tanzanian comedian.
